ConnectedLiving was founded in 2003 by Larry Barrows, who has worked throughout his career as a computer reseller and support specialist. Larry owned and operated three Silicon Valley-based computer value-added reseller businesses over a career that has spanned more than twenty years; he has specialized in the support of Macintosh computers his entire career. His clients included Apple Computer, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Symantec Corporation, and Kaiser Permanente.
Larry's passion for home theater surround sound began in the early 1990s with the advent of Dolby Surround Sound in consumer stereo systems; it was augmented in 1997 with the release of Sony's first DVD player with AC-3, 5.1 Dolby Digital. Now, with the availability of home DTS, THX, and Dolby Digital 7.1 receivers, the home movie experience doesn't just recreate the cineplex experience -- it surpasses it. Larry enjoys showing people how, in the privacy of their own home, they can enjoy a cinema-quality movie experience right from their own sofa or recliner.
